A. Be : am, are, is.
- Statement & Questions : It is green. Is it green?
- Contractions : It's green. It isn't green?
- Short Answer : Yes, it is. No, it isn't
Jadi, dalam satu kalimat harus mengandung salah satu BE diatas.
Kegunaannya :
Am = I
Are = You, They, We
Is = It, He, She
Teman-teman i, you, they, we, it, he, she, etc adalah subjek. Dalam satu kaliamt pun juga harus ada subjeknya.
Example :
- I am policeman.
- You are teacher.
- It is long.
- She is laughing.
Nah, berdasarkan kalimat diatas, terdri dari Subjek, Be, dan Predikat.

B. Singular and plural noun phrases
Jika kamu ingin mengubah statement menjadi question, letakanlah BE diawal kalimat.
Contoh :
- The book is red .> Is the book red?
- You are sleepy. > Are you sleepy?
Ok, seperti itulah contohnya. Sudahkah kalian paham?
Note : Words like bok, table, pencil, John, Mary, etc are nouns. The book, the table, the pencil, John, Mary, etc are noun phrases.
