Nah, sebenarnya request sentence itu ada tiga macam. Yaitu :
1. Positive
Positive Requets Sentence adalah permintaan yang seolah-olah lakukanlah itu. Contohnya : Please open the door.
2. Polite Positive
Kalau yang ini, ada tambahan kata sebelum kata please. Yaitu would you. Contohnya : Would you please open the door!
3. Negative
Kalimat ini adalah lawan kata dari positive request sentence, dengan tambahan kata 'don't'. Contoh : Please don't open the door!

NB :
- Kata 'please' bisa dihilangkan. Namun, kata 'please' membuat kalimat itu lebih sopan. ('Please' bisa disisipkan di akhir kalimat, tidak mesti di awal kalimat.) Contoh : Read the book, please!
- Kata negatif 'not' digunakan dalam kalimat permintaan saat 'let's' atau 'would' (atau auxiliary lainnya) muncul disamping kata kerja utama. 'Don't' digunakan pada pola pertama diatas.
