A1. Notice the use of be and going to when referring to future time.
Previous patterns :
I read every day.
I am reading now
New pattern :
Singular
- I am going to read tomorrow.
- You are going to read tomorrow.
- He is going to read tomorrow.
Plural
- We are going to read tomorrow.
- They are going to read tomorrow.
- You are going to read tomorrow.
- Sebuah bentuk be dan going to digunakan dengan bentuk kata kerja sederhana untuk menunjukkan masa yang akan datang.
- Bentuk be dalam pola diatas biasanya dihubungkan dalam berbicara dan penulisan informal. Contohnya : I'm going to read tomorrow.
- Tambahan will yang juga digunakan untuk menunjukkan waktu yang akan datang, akan dipelajari di lesson 11, tentang 'Modal auxilliaries : will, can, etc.'
Cara membuat question dengan tambahan kata going to adalah sebagai berikut :
Rumus = Be + going to + object
Contoh :
Statement : Laras is going to write a diary.
Question: Is Laras going to read a book?
